Canada Helps Belize fight crime with Ballistics Systems

Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper announced an initiative to support and enhance Central America’s security infrastructure by providing IBIS ballistics identification equipment to Belize and Costa Rica.

Canada aims to help Belize fight on the front lines against drugs, transnational organized crime and terrorism through equipment purchases, training, and technical assistance.

Law enforcement agency in Belize is to receive the latest in IBIS forensic ballistics identification equipment; IBIS TRAX-3D. IBIS is developed by Forensic Technology WAI Inc. of Montreal, Canada, and used by police and forensic investigators in order to link firearm-related crimes, suspects and firearms.
