General Consultation to be held on a Belize/Mexico Agreement

A consultation in Northern Belize for a possible Partial Scope Agreement between Belize and Mexico will be held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.

Also, the Ministry will present on the intentions of El Salvador and Honduras to begin discussion on partial scopes with Belize. Both the private sector and the general public are welcomed to participate and express their views on these emerging trade issues and opportunities.

The Meetings will be held on April 15.

The consultations are aimed at informing and updating the private sector and the general public on the status of ongoing preparations for the launch of negotiations on the Belize- Mexico Partial Scope Agreement.

Stakeholder’s feedback will help to establish clear positions for engagement with Mexico as well as to inform on how we proceed with El Salvador and Honduras.
